We are currently traveling by bike from Scotland to Australia and are trying to find out about ferrys from Iran to Dubai and then from Dubai on to India.
We did try to contact the ferry email address on your site but it bounced so wondering if you had any other links to a relable source for a timetable and cost of the ferry service, that is providing that it still exists.
Also if anybody else has found out anything about this ferries, please help.

I whish you very good luck and hope you will find that ferry to India. I'm very curious what you will find out as I have myself also searched a lot for it, I even went to the head of the Bombay harbour to inquire, without success.
From Iran to Dubai it should be easy to find a passenger ferry, as far as I know there should be ferries from Bushehr, Bandar Abbas and Kish to the Emirates. I took myself the one from Dubai to Bushehr, it was a new line and I was the only passenger on a ship with place for a few thousand people. Quite impressive for me, but not good for their bussiness.

Iran ferries overland travel

Many thanks for getting back to me and for your information. We have been trying for weeks now to find information about this possible voyage. The Port Authoritys have not got back to me but I will certainly let you know if we have any joy. We are presently still waiting for our visas for Iran at the mo and have been for 4 weeks so we may have to fly direct to India if we do not get our visas. Which will be dissapionting as my dream is to cycle to Australia.

There are several ferries from Dubai to Iran and Dubai has a modern passenger ferry terminal (but a lot of taxi drivers have never heard of it). So this part of your trip should not be a problem.
The ferry from Dubai to India though is probably not working at the moment. Unfortunately I have no more details on the ferry from Iran to India than the ones on the site. Have you tried calling the phone numbers of Tylos ferry, the company that launched the ferry in 2001? I wrote the numbers on my site from the ones on their office (which was closed) window in the Dubai passenger ferry terminal.
Small scale traders liked the ferry as it allowed 200kg luggage per person. When the airfares dropped by the end of 2001 the ferry stopped operating. If the airfares would rise again (due to the high oil prices) there is maybe a chance that the ferry will work again, if of course the rise in oil prices affects less the ferry fuel than the kerosine price....
